Welcome to Werewolf: Rules 8161978233_203d2a38aa

The Game is played in 2 phases

1. Day time phase

This phase consists of all villagers gathering together in a meeting and deciding who amongst them should be eliminated / lynched because they are a werewolf. This is done by discussion, debate, questioning, interrogation and placing a vote.
You become eliminated immediately during a day phase if you recieve majority vote ((50% +1))
At this point, all debate, questioning and discussion should stop as the host moves the game into it's next phase.  The Night Phase.

2. Night Time Phase.

During this phase, the werewolves, along with any other special roles are called upon to make their night actions.

1. Werewolves will decide at night who is to be killed and eliminated from game play.
2. The Seer will select someone who they think is a werewolf. They will learn if they are a villager or a werewolf.
3. the Bodygaurd will select someone who they want to protect. If the werewolves try to kill this person, the person who was targetted by the werewolves will be saved.
4. The villagers who do not have roles will simply just wait for the day phase.

Once the night actions occur the day time phase returns and the town wakes up to find out who has been eliminated from the game.

3. Winning.

The village will win if they can eliminate all werewolves from game play.
The werewolves will win if they can bring the village down to a 50% ratio of villagers to werewolves example: 2 villagers / 2 werewolves or 1 villager vs 1 werewolf

The Basic Roles that are handed out during a game of Werewolf are.

1. Villager ((These are regular players who are trying to deduce who amongst them are werewolves.))

2. Werewolf ((These are players whose object is to eliminate villagers))

3. The Seer ((This player functions during the night and may make a guess at who they believe is a werewolf. They will find out if their choice is a werewolf or villager which will help guide the following days discussion.))

4. Body Gaurd ((This player functions during the night along with other special roles. They will choose to save someone who they don't want to die during the night. If the werewolves select that person who was protected. They will not die.))

5. Other roles may be handed out, depending on the set up and an explanation of those roles will be placed.

PLAYER GUIDE LINES

SIGNING UP FOR A GAME:

By Signing up for a game, you are committed to playing the full game until you are eliminated. Asking to quit may compromise the game mechanics. If you really cannot continue, then please discuss it with your host and they will attempt to continue the game as best as they can.

HOW ARE ROLES HANDED OUT?

Roles are handed out at the beginning of the game randomly

PRIVACY OF ROLES
Roles are handed out based on the honor system. Players receive roles at the start of the game and must not discuss with anyone inside the game or out of the game of their role unless specifically told they can by the host. This means, PVTING your role to another person, Screen Shots or any other form of communication outside of the game thread.

No one should be discussing anything in pvt unless it is directly to the host, or allowed due to role exception.

CAUTION
This game puts players in a position to be singled out, lied to, lied about or deceived to as the game progresses and strategies develop.

It is an elimination style type game and sometimes you may be eliminated sooner than expected. Please do not take things personally. Ultimately it is a group effort and sometimes sacrifices must be made to get to the truth.

If defenses or arguements arise that over step your comfort level, please contact the host ASAP in pvt they will attempt to handle the situation as best as possible before arguements arise that go beyond the borders of the game.

PLAYERS RULE OF THUMB:

Players, remember you are dealing with other people in this game. Speak how you would like to be spoken to.

Players, if you are eliminated, you are no longer permitted to participate in the game, nor be in contact about the game in pvt discussions with anyone still in the game. This might compromise the game to a point where it will be ruined for everyone.

HOST
A host will try to mediate as best as they can with what they are given in these circumstances.

1. General Game Questions.
If you have a general game question, pvt it to the host and they will answer pvtly back OR if they believe it is a common question that everyone will benefit from they will respond out in open forum.

2. Technical Game Disputes.
Sometimes mistakes happen, by the host or various players. The host will try to act in such a way that causes the least amount of damage to keep the game intact. Depending upon the player error they will try to do their best to keep the game going. If revealing roles, communication of the game outside of the thread, or any other actions that will compromise the mechanics of the game. That player will be removed from the game and the next phase of the game will begin.

3. Judgement Caller
If at anytime you feel rules are broken or situations for you become uncomfortable, it is your job to pvt the host with it so that they they are aware and can handle the situation as best they can. Using their judgement they will decide on the next action to take

4. Player Disputes that cannot be resolved on their own.
If players are acting in such a way that goes way beyond the boundaries of the game ((at host judgement)) and it cannot be resolved. They will be forced to remove the aggressive player so that the game can continue.

STORY TELLING.
Depending on the size of cast for the season being played a story will be told before each phase describing the towns choices and actions.

Sometimes cast members names or dialogue may be used in order to tell the story.

This is in no way a reflection of character roles in the game, nor is it a reflection on peoples true characters in real life, within the community board or other forum boards or real life.
